As you can see, a new Tabernacle has been installed behind the Altar in the Main Church. This was carried out last Tuesday morning. It is a worthy New Home for the Lord Jesus in the Main Chapel. It also provides a focal point and a renewed aid for prayer in the Church. Jesus has come out of the shadows and taken his place in the centre of the Sanctuary! The new Tabernacle has been reconditioned (brass exterior and interior) following its earlier use in a Church in England. As you can appreciate, despite the Tabernacle being “second hand” it was still a considerable cost. Inclusive of everything (also brass sanctuary lamp holder), the total cost amounted to €5046.25. Should anyone wish to assist in defraying part of the cost, any donations would be appreciated. P.S. We have been advised that the Tabernacle has received four coats of lacquer as part of reconditioning. Therefore, it should be cleaned with a dry cloth only and no products used on it.

First Holy Communion Party: Thank you to the ladies who organised the Party in the Community Centre and to everyone for your support. All donations were gratefully appreciated.

Intercessions at Exam Time

Lord, pour out your Spirit of wisdom on students.
Help then to remain calm and to attend carefully to the questions asked.
Help them to think clearly, to remember accurately, and to express themselves well.
May they reflect the best of the work they have done, and the best of the teaching they have received.
Accept their best efforts in these examinations and in the great test of life on earth.
May your love be upon them O Lord, as they place all their trust in you.

Make us patient and kind,
Gentle and generous,
Welcoming to those in need.
Help us to live your forgiveness and peace.
Protect all families with your loving care,
Especially those for whom we now pray:

[We pause and remember family members and others by name].

Stengthen our hope,
Keep us safe in your love,
Make us always grateful for the gift of life that we share.
This we ask, through Christ our Lord,
Amen
